Valley-milled Douglas Fir structural section, 175x175mm (7″ x 7″), in lengths from 1.0 – 7.0m or cut to length. Our Douglas Fir is milled on site at Valley Sawmill from forests around us in the Southwest. Fresh-sawn (green) at point of supply, it will continue to dry after leaving the yard and may develop surface checking as it seasons – characteristic of the material and not a defect for non-graded structural use.
Ideal for structural applications like; pergolas, landscaping, garden structures, posts, furniture, beams, joists and timber-framed structures that don’t require specific weight ‘grading’. As a sawmill we specialise in quoting for your exact dimensions. Lead time varies – please allow 1-2 weeks for non-standard sizes.
