Green Oak Cut-offs, not graded (per m³)

Description

Custom-sized green oak, available to order in bespoke dimensions. Our green oak is freshly milled from French and European oak trees – characterful, strong and naturally durable. ‘Cut-offs’ are a 2nd cut piece from a previous larger beam order. Same quality at reduced price to you to help us make good use of waste and keep stock moving. Green oak has a naturally higher moisture content at time of supply, it will continue to dry (‘season’) after leaving the yard, which is expected and normal for non-graded structural applications. It will develop surface checking (small surface cracks) as it dries – this is characteristic of the material and does not affect structural performance. Colour will silver-grey over time in exposed situations.

Ideal for structural and cosmetic applications like; pergolas, landscaping, garden structures, gate and gate posts, furniture, beams and oak-framed structures that don’t require specific weight ‘grading’. As a sawmill we specialise in quoting for your exact dimensions. Lead time varies – please allow 1-2 weeks for non-standard sizes.
