Thicknessing and surface planing service charged per hour, for larger volumes of timber where multiple lengths or passes are required.
Hourly charge (machine plus one person). Most residential-scale thicknessing jobs complete in under an hour. Add to the minimum charge for the first slot; subsequent hours billed at this rate.
Best for: bringing rough-sawn timber to a consistent finished thickness, S2S (two-sided planing), preparing boards for furniture or finishing. Please discuss species and target finish with Garth before booking, very rough or heavily figured material may require multiple passes.
