UC3 green pressure-treated sawn softwood gravel boards, an essential base piece for any quality close-board or panel fence. Fitted horizontally between posts at the foot of the fence panels, they protect against ground moisture, splash-back and soil contact that would quickly rot an untreated panel. Sourced from quality larch or Douglas Fir for better long-term durability than unspecified softwood. Our 1.83m board is a true imperial 6′ length, designed to fit straight into existing imperial-spaced fence bays without cutting. Fit slightly proud of the soil surface where possible, and always seal cut ends with end-grain preservative.
