One-off home-milled yew board,Full bark / waney (edge of bole)
Large central holes and a strong split through the length; river-table / resin-fill candidate. Vivid contrast between creamy sapwood and rich orange-red to deep brown heartwood, with tight swirling grain that polishes to a glassy finish.
Air dried to ~18% moisture content.

English Yew (Taxus baccata)
Grown in Frome, this well aged tree needed felling from the grounds of the retirement home, and only travelled 5 miles to us for milling.
Note: yew dust/timber should not be used for food-contact surfaces.
